Attendance2 is a newly launched application developed by the creator of the initial iOS Attendance app. It has undergone a comprehensive overhaul featuring a new data format intended to enhance its adaptability and user-friendliness.

Main Features:
<ul>
<li>Minimal learning curve with robust functionalities that are easily accessible when required.</li>
<li>Effortless importing of names from CSV files or your Contacts list (refer to website videos for guidance on creating import CSV files).</li>
<li>Show photos alongside names during attendance-taking; photos can be captured with the device, imported from Dropbox, or chosen from your Photo library.</li>
<li>Customizable statuses (e.g., Absent, Present, etc.) enabling personalization by adding your own statuses.</li>
<li>Each day includes a status, a second status, and a general note field.</li>
<li>Utilize the second status for tracking participation points or dropoff/pickup purposes (refer to website for detailed instructions).</li>
<li>Select statuses manually for each individual or utilize QR or barcode scanning to record attendance status (QR codes can be generated by Attendance2).</li>
<li>Optionally input course meeting times (e.g., MWF 9AM) for easy addition of subsequent class times with a single tap or manually select meeting times for irregularly scheduled courses.</li>
<li>Standard fields for first, middle, last names, email addresses, etc., per person plus 5 customizable fields to optionally utilize.</li>
<li>Customize visible person fields during attendance-taking in the Take settings.</li>
<li>Diverse reporting options (spreadsheet, summary, detailed report) that can be emailed or saved to Dropbox in CSV format.</li>
<li>Reports highlighting students who have missed a specific number of classes aiding in identifying at-risk students.</li>
<li>Customize report fields through Report Settings.</li>
<li>Data for each course maintained in separate files which can be shared with teaching assistants or administrators via email.</li>
<li>Easily back up data files to Dropbox or via email.</li>
<li>Supports TextExpander touch snippet expansion in various note fields.</li>
</ul>

Gestures during attendance-taking:
<ul>
<li>Tap on a photo to enlarge it or modify the photo.</li>
<li>Tap on a name to input notes for that individual on the day.</li>
<li>Long press on a name to view/edit person details.</li>
<li>Double tap on a name to access an attendance summary report.</li>
<li>Long press on status to choose from a list of statuses.</li>
<li>Swipe right/left across the screen to navigate between previous and upcoming dates.</li>
</ul>

Data Sharing Between Multiple Devices or Users:

Data synchronization between different users is not supported. However, exchanging the data file amongst multiple individuals enables them to take attendance at varying times. For example, an educator could handle attendance on MWF, pass the data file to the teaching assistant post-Wednesday class, and have the TA manage attendance during Thursday's session - eventually sending back an updated data file. The same principle applies when using multiple devices - simply share the data (via email or Dropbox) with your other device ensuring you are working with the most recent information before making any modifications to it.

The latest iteration of Attendance2 (version 2.0) encompasses all key features of the original Attendance app (version 2.0 introduced Contacts importing). Future updates will incorporate requested functionalities periodically as time permits.
